LET'S GET BROWARD'S HEART PUMPING

Beber Silverstein Group and Nobox launched BrowardHeartbeat.com as part of Broward Health’s Powerful Cardiac Care campaign during American Heart Month in February, 2010. The fully integrated effort was supported by TV, Print, Outdoor, Online, Public Relations/Events, Social Media, and Search Marketing components, T-shirts, and even a Valentine’s Card mailed to every Broward Health employee. The BrowardHeartbeat web site was a focal point of the interactive efforts, providing users the ability to create and download their own unique digital heartbeat, place it on a map of Broward County and share it with friends.

A main goal of the entire effort was to build awareness for Heart Health and have users sign up for free heart screenings at Broward Health. In the first week of the campaign, all available slots for the free screenings were filled, prompting Broward Health to add more screenings to meet demand. The site also provided educational tips and tools to learn about heart health such as videos of Broward’s Health cardiologists, sharing their insights on a variety of heart health topics. Social media aspects of the campaign urged users to “share the love” by sending one of nine Heart Gifts through a Facebook application or sending eCards to friends and loved ones, inviting them to book a free heart screening.
